Happiness! Australia is a Call to Action
This is Susan’s dream. Will you collaborate to make this dream true?
Happiness is to celebrate who we are. We are all amazing when we are happy. Our negativity without hope is why suicides are increasing. Happiness! Australia is a call to action happiness as your Happy Destiny is Unavoidable when you make a decision to choose happiness and hope. To choose REAL HOPES (responsibility, empathy, awareness, love, honesty, oneness, peace, enjoyment and service) means to action values.
Susan Carew-Holmes travelled with Dr Patch Adams to hospitals, orphanages and nursing homes and other venues as a peace clown to share happiness and joy. Susan is a Rotary Peace fellow and studied Peace at La Trobe University. She is a public speaker on a range of topics and conducted workshops (now called fun-ships) to inspire the community to join a happy community. Happy communities support each other and solve problems for the whole community.
The 5 projects below are set for 2025 and beyond. Happy project partners are invited. There is no set price but an invitation to exchange (barter) or to give what makes you happy.
Happiness! Australia is a pilot project. The success of this project will then be a blueprint to be spread worldwide as Happiness! USA, Happiness! UK, Happiness! Canada, Happiness! India, Happiness! New Zealand, Happiness! Nepal, Happiness! South America and on and on it will go with your love and support. Let’s offer REAL HOPES to the world as a real proposition.

1) Happiness! Australia Happy Chats – Let’s Start the CONVERSATION
We live busy lives where most do not have time to really think about what makes them happy. Susan Carew-Holmes aka Peace Fool can come to your Happy Place to start a discussion about happiness. The public are invited to participate in Happiness! Australia.
This is a call out to all Australians, no matter background, culture, gender or difference to join in Happiness! Australia for the fun of it.
You can invite us to come and speak at your place (happiness presentations) to start the conversation about why Happiness is our true nature. This can be lecture style presentation or a roundtable discussion.
We are open to your ideas on how we can create ONE BIG happy country and return to our happy go lucky attitude of helping each other and laughing out loud together. HA will share the REAL HOPES to Advance Australia fair.

2) FUNSHIPS: Happiness! Australia Cheer Up! for the Community
Funships for Community Empowerment (GNH)
Presentations, funships (workshops) and ways to resolve conflict and question negativity are offered within the Giving National Happiness (GNH) framework.
Happiness! Australia has fun-ships (workshops). We invite you to jump on board the happiness express, and yes, express yourself.
The funships free people to laugh out loud, to experience the power of play to clown around, exploring the way we think, fake it until you make it (practice happiness) and rekindle that child inside that knew how to have fun in innocence and pure joy.
We seriously recommend sillyness, clowning around (class clown), juggling life, laugh out loud and learning happiness 4 life skills and questioning our thinking to re-member your happy place for the sheer fun of it.

3) FUNSHIPS: Happiness! Australia Cheer Up! RURAL-REGIONAL AUSTRALIA
The purpose is to let rural people know we care. Happiness talks, funships will provide real relief in hard times. Seeking project partnerships. Perhaps that is YOU.
This project is to visit struggling and stressed rural Australia and remind them they are not alone and that we can have a laugh and let go of the stress that is a constant these days. This is a program that reminds every Australian that Happiness is the real wealth of the nation. Here is an example of the rural people. We cannot imagine how they feel when they confront no rain or floods, changing government policy, low prices and loss of their family businesses. The young people end up leaving towns.

The wisdom of the Fool is to ‘know thyself’ to realise life is the experience where we are all mastering our foolishness. The wise remember that what we do to another returns to the self. So to cause harm becomes self-defeating or harming yourself. It is wise to become self reflective and ask ‘how would I feel if that was me’? Will the action cause harm or benefit?

4) SPEAK UP 4 REAL HOPE: Children’s Well-Being and Empowerment Projects
REAL HOPE is a values based, peace nonviolence and anti-bullying program. REAL HOPE is an acronym for: Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Love, Honesty, Oneness, Peace and Enjoyment. We invite schools to give REAL HOPES to children. Peacefool can come to start a conversation or to deliver a REAL HOPES funship.
a) Happy Chats for Kids (Well-being)
It is important for schools to encourage children to have discussions about what makes them happy. A clown is a wonderful facilitator.
b) REAL HOPES 4 Kids (Values, Anti-bullying)
Susan aka Peacefull clown visited many schools to teach REAL HOPE (see below). Values based education instils real happiness in children especially during times where they feel fearful and disconnected from who they are. Violent video games simulate violent behaviours but do not provide content to discuss violence or reflect on real life. Children’s perceptions can make it hard to discern between real life and a computer game. They start to believe monsters are real or they themselves model violent behaviours when they feel not safe. One child told me he believed he was ‘bad’.
Happiness and pro-social skills are critical for peace in our world, otherwise children become disconnected and indifferent to each other unwittingly causing harm to each other.
Mental health is an emerging issue which clearly reflects a society under pressure. Depression requires deep rest (see video on Jim Carrey), anxiety (psychological fears) and stress (pressure) arise when children feel powerless and frightened losing the sense of real meaning in their lives.
The REAL HOPE program has been designed to address bullying and develop pro-social behaviours that are peaceful and values based. This program is values based, peace nonviolence and anti-bullying program.
REAL HOPE is an acronym for: Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Love, Honesty, Oneness, Peace and Enjoyment. REAL HOPE is a program where life skills, emotional intelligence, positive psychology and peaceful behaviours are developed and integrated over a 8 week program.
Schools can book Susan (aka Peacefool) to run the program or to highlight specific values teachers think are important. The program has been successful in schools.
c) The SPEAK UP Award:
Sustainability, Peace, Encouragement Award 4 Kids to Unite People
This project is to empower children in the areas of peace and sustainability to find fun ways to align with harmony and earth systems. This can commence as a local project or an international project. We are seeking project partnerships and can start immediately with the right team.
This Award is to encourage children to SPEAK UP for their planet – the Sustainability Peace Encouragement Award for Kids to Unite People. This project was designed for children to empower change. This project is looking for project partners (cheer! leaders) to assist in empowering young people to ‘be the change they wish to see in the world’ and become involved to empower children. This is a great project to empower children in peace building and sustainability (ecological balance).
The project was initiated as a International Project in 2015 and is now available in 2025.

The SPEAK UP! Award will be piloted in Australia in 2025 to Australian children and then it will become a global project.
5) BUILD A ECOVILLAGE for Homeless Women to live independently
The highest proportion of homeless are women over 50 years of age. This initiative is to raise funds to buy land and build a ecovillage for 50 homeless women. The goal is to empower sustainability, self reliance and happiness in a community of supportive women.
